Why Sunday Gardenia?

Sunday Gardenia was created from a lifelong love of flowers and the belief that flowers are so much more than decoration — they are a way to celebrate love, connection, joy, and some of life’s most meaningful moments.

The name Sunday Gardenia holds a deeply personal meaning. During one of the hardest seasons of my life, I started a small tradition of buying myself flowers every Sunday. What began as a simple act quickly became a reminder to slow down, show up for myself, and find beauty even during difficult times. Every bouquet brought a little more joy, comfort, and softness into my life, reminding me that love must always begin from within.

And why gardenias? Gardenias have always been my favorite flower. Growing up, they bloomed outside my childhood home every spring and summer. I still remember going outside with my mom to cut fresh gardenias from the bushes so she could place them throughout the house. To this day, the scent of gardenias feels like summer, comfort, and home to me.

That feeling is the heart behind Sunday Gardenia.

Flowers have a beautiful way of bringing people together. They become part of our happiest memories — celebrating milestones, showing love, offering comfort, and reminding the people around us that we care. Through our mobile flower bar experiences, we hope to bring some of that same joy, warmth, and connection into every event we are fortunate enough to be a part of.
